The Community & Social Lunch Club has been running successfully since January 2023 and over the course of the past 9 months, we have built a group of regular participants who meet every week for games, chats and a lovely meal.
Most of our regulars come from the Cambridge Jewish Community but we have also welcomed many guests from further afield including some members of the Buddhist and Muslim communities, some refugees, some parents and toddlers, university students, neighbours and visitors from all over the world including the US, Poland, Ukraine and Oman to name a few.
The grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, which enabled us to offer free lunch to all, has now been fully utilised. Our regular “lunch clubbers” have decided to carry on meeting on Wednesdays between 11.30am and 2.30pm and so the synagogue will remain open to all but the format will change. Tea, coffee and biscuits will still be offered but guests who wish to have lunch will either have to bring their own food or pay their share of a group order of food from one of our favourite outlets. Please contact for more details.
