Catering for a hundred

A huge thank you to our amazing team of volunteers who devised menus, shopped, baked, cooked, welcomed and looked after guests, set up the room, washed, cleaned and tidied everything until the early hours of the morning.

Our thanks go to this year’s chefs: Portia for the 110 boiled (and peeled) eggs, Shally for her delicious vegan consomme and matzah balls, Maria for her Moroccan style salmon and aubergines in tomato sauce, Anne for her roast potatoes and roasted squash with cashew cream, Jools for the quinoa tabbouleh, Aurore for the carrot salad, Valerie for the danish cucumber salad and her world acclaimed chocolate mousses, Denise for the amazing selection of coconut pyramids, macaroons and cinnamon balls, Gill for the vegan chocolate cream and Jackie for her almond pudding.

Another huge thank you goes to James, Benji and David K, our incredible waiters and sommeliers and to Peter and Simon for welcoming guests. And a special mention to Viv and David D who spontaneously joined the effort and helped the team clear up and to Beth and Hannah who handled ticket sales and all pre-Seder enquiries.

And of course a big Дякую to Yulia for everything she did on the day, from helping set up the room to serving, tasting, keeping her sense of humour throughout and ruling the kitchen  – 4 hours of dishwashing anyone?
