Beth Shalom representatives Denise N and Sheila L attended the latest Cambridge interfaith event held at the Cambridge Mosque on Tuesday 22 November.
The interfaith event was the third, and follows from the initiative taken by Beth Shalom in support of Ukraine. Delegates were welcomed by Zakarya Gangat from the Mosque, who gave us a tour of the beautiful building followed by afternoon prayers and refreshments.
Other religions represented were the Bahais and Christians as well as the Muslim hosts.
On behalf of Beth Shalom, Denise talked about the importance of tsedakah (charity) in Judaism and Sheila sang the priestly blessing. It was wonderful to see the four religions present setting an example of friendly cooperation and we look forward to the next event.
Thanks to the Beth Shalom members who came to support us and to the Muslim community for hosting.
