A large multifaith crowd celebrated Mitzvah Day in Cambridge at our synagogue on Sunday 23rd November.
Organised by Aga, Headteacher of the Cheder, the event featured singing, dancing, open mic, a fashion show and a collection of clothing and food donated to a local shelter.
There were some local VIPs in support including Richard Swift – deputy Mayor, Cameron Holloway – leader of the council, Imam Mekic from the Cambridge Mosque, and Francis Burkitt – the next Sheriff of Cambridgeshire.

As well as being a highly entertaining afternoon, the event raised over £200 and significant donations for the shelter.
